WCN23-0209 PREVALENCE AND ASSOCIATED FACTORS WITH PERSISTENT HYPERPARATHYROIDISM FOLLOWING KIDNEY TRANSPLANTATION
نویسندگان
چکیده
Kidney transplantation (KT) can reverse renal function and improve patient survival while intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) level persists high in some kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). Thus we examined the prevalence associated factors of persistent hyperparathyroidism (pHPT).

Prevalence of and factors associated with persistent pain following breast cancer surgery.
CONTEXT Persistent pain and sensory disturbances following surgical treatment for breast cancer is a significant clinical problem. The pathogenic mechanisms are complex and may be related to patient characteristics, surgical technique, and adjuvant therapy. OBJECTIVE To examine prevalence of and factors associated with persistent pain after surgical treatment for breast cancer. DESIGN, SETT...
متن کاملRenal function in patients treated with cinacalcet for persistent hyperparathyroidism after kidney transplantation.
BACKGROUND AND AIM Cinacalcet effectively reduces calcium in patients with persistent hyperparathyroidism (HPT) after kidney transplantation. We aimed to assess the association of cinacalcet with a decrease in renal function based on a meta-analysis of observational studies in kidney transplant patients with persistent HPT. METHOD Meta-analysis of observational studies, no randomized controll...
متن کاملPrevalence and factors associated with dyslipidemia after liver transplantation.
OBJECTIVE to determine the prevalence of abnormal total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and triglycerides in patients undergoing liver transplantation (LTx) and to identify predictors of these disorders. METHODS cross-sectional study to assess the prevalence of dyslipidemia in patients undergoing LTx. Demographic, socioeconomic, clinical, anthro...
متن کاملProteinúria after kidney transplantation - prevalence and risk factors.
INTRODUCTION Proteinuria after kidney transplantation (Tx) has variable incidence and is associated with cardiovascular risk and graft survival. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the prevalence of proteinuria after kidney Tx and its associated factors. METHODS The prevalence of PTN was evaluated according to definition ≥ 500 mg/24 hours. Patients were divided into 3 groups: group A, < 500 mg, B, 500-10...
متن کاملParathyroidectomy vs calcimimetics for treatment of persistent hyperparathyroidism after kidney transplantation.
Ideally, a successful kidney transplantation corrects the abnormalities in mineral metabolism that, during uraemia, lead to secondary hyperparathyroidism (HPT) and renal osteodystrophy. This includes reversal of uraemia, abolition of hypocalcaemia, hyperphosphataemia and acidosis, and restoration of calcitriol production and reversal of skeletal resistance to parathyroid hormone (PTH) and vitam...
